A sweet, fruit-packed natural from Hamasho Village, high in the Bombe Mountains of Sidama Bensa. This is an exclusive Archers lot from Daye Bensa — the exporter behind some of Ethiopia's most celebrated coffees and a 2022 Cup of Excellence runner-up. Expect stone fruit, berries and citrus, finished with delicate white florals.

The Producer
Daye Bensa, founded by the Dukamo family, is one of Ethiopia's leading specialty exporters, running 71 washing stations, 11 dry mills and three farms across Sidama. Rather than buying anonymously, they work directly with the smallholder farmers who deliver cherries to their stations. Archers has bought from Hamasho since 2020 and selects its own lots each year.
74158 is a variety developed by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center and is known in Sidama for floral, tropical and stone-fruit cups.
The Process
This lot is Natural processed:
- 🍒 Ripe cherry selection — Hand-picked cherries are sorted on delivery
- ☀️ Whole-cherry drying — Dried slowly on raised African beds with the fruit intact
- 🔧 Hulling — The dried fruit is removed once the beans reach the right moisture
The Cup
Juicy peach and blueberry lead, followed by bright mandarin and a fragrant lychee note. White florals carry through to a long, sweet finish. High sweetness, moderate acidity and a gentle fermentation character — fruity without being funky.
