The Process
Unlike most decafs, this one is decaffeinated right where it's grown, using a gentle, natural method:
- π§ Washed β The coffee is first processed as a classic washed lot
- β¨οΈ Warm-water soaks β The beans are immersed twice in 40Β°C water for four hours each
- π Natural solvent β A 24-hour soak in a solvent made from coffee pulp and husk draws out the caffeine
- βοΈ Rinse & dry β Washed again and dried for about five days
